Downtown OKC, Inc is hiring for its Downtown Guides program. Through a position that is as fun as it is fulfilling, DOKC’s Downtown Guides serve as hospitality ambassadors, assisting to connect residents, employees and visitors with Oklahoma City’s great downtown community. The Downtown Guides’ primary duty is to actively seek out pedestrians on weekends and at various downtown events via DOKC branded Segways, complete with tablets, to create an interactive experience for those in and around downtown.
Downtown Guides work 1-2 days per week (8-16 hours), including weekends, as scheduling permits. Training on downtown attractions and developments, as well as Segway riding and safety, is provided through DOKC staff and through the OKC Convention and Visitors Bureau’s Certified Tourism Ambassadors program. During shifts, Guides engage visitors and record feedback via tablets to continually improve the public experience in downtown Oklahoma City.
